A private company performing Research, Development and Innovation in the field of refrigeration and heat pumps, established in 2008 and located in Zutphen. Product developments by Saint Trofee are:

• Design for a compression heat pump with a minimum charge of natural hydrocarbon refrigerant R290. The prototype was built and tested in the first months of 2018.
• The “ColdShift” Time of Use controller for commercial refrigerated display cabinets, which has been successfully demonstrated in Dutch and Belgian supermarkets. Information is available at  www.ColdShift.nl.
• SAINT TROFEE co-developed a smart grid refrigeration system controller for industrial cold stores. The resulting product is marketed by ENGIE refrigeration.

The most recent development is “ActiveWall”, a solid state electric heat pump for space heating and cooling. ActiveWall is integrated in the walls of a building; it provides “wall-heating” (and cooling!) much like the well-known “floor-heating”. ActiveWall has no moving parts, it is silent and has very low maintenance.
