EIT RawMaterials – Startup & MKB funding calls open

Onlangs heeft EIT RawMaterials (EIT RM) een tweede ronde met 2 calls geopend. De calls zijn opgezet voor startups en mkb’s uit de grondstoffensector, die hulp nodig hebben bij het ontwikkelen van hun innovaties en/of hun businesscases. De volgende twee calls zijn nu geopend:

  • RM Accelerator program (phase 1)

The Accelerator program is a tailored 3-phases program for start-up teams dedicated to introduce impact innovations (products and/or services) in the raw materials sector. Phase 1 is a 3 months program and is about building proof of concept for the business model in the targeted raw materials market segments. It starts with ideas at TRL 4-6 and aims to find a market niche, to develop a financial model and to build a business model. Selected Start-ups will receive 15K EUR funding to cover the costs for participating in phase 1 of Accelerator. The Accelerator call is open all year long with 2 cut-off dates for application, is open for Startups and the next deadline for applications is set on 29 August 2021.

Startups (not SME’s) interested in the RM Accelerator program should apply here.

Start-up teams graduating from Phase 1 can then apply to the next phase of the program and get additional support from EIT RawMaterials to establish a viable business model, a commercial strategy and validate /test their offering with launching customers (Phase 2: duration 6 months and 30K EUR funding) and eventually build their investment case, find enabling partners and scale their business (phase 3: duration 9 months and 45K EUR funding).

  • RM Booster program

The Booster program is tailored to support mature Startups and SME’s who need to achieve a pivotal milestone first to be able to move forward and introduce impact innovations in the raw materials sector. Thanks to this program, we have already been able to support more than 150 start-ups in Europe who already have demonstrated to be able to deliver significant impacts in the sector by creating jobs, attracting capital (more than 200 MEUR so far) and launching innovative products. The booster call is open all year long with 3 cut-off dates for proposal submission (funding max 60K EUR), is open for Start-ups and SME’s and the next deadline for application is set on 3 September 2021.

Subsidieregeling circulaire economie

Van 1 april tot en met 30 september 2021 kan het mkb ondersteuning voor circulaire ketenprojecten aanvragen. Dit zijn projecten waarbij bedrijven in samenwerking een product, proces, dienst of businessmodel meer circulair ontwerpen, produceren of organiseren, zodat minder grondstoffen worden verbruikt en minder CO2 wordt uitgestoten.

Circulaire ketenprojecten moeten worden uitgevoerd door een zogeheten circulair ketensamenwerkingsverband, dat bestaat uit ten minste drie en ten hoogste zes mkb-ondernemers met in ieder geval drie verschillende rollen in een product- of materiaalketen die niet in een groep met elkaar verbonden zijn.

Een circulair ketensamenwerkingsverband is verplicht een procesbegeleider aan te stellen met aantoonbare kennis en ervaring op het gebied van circulaire economie, en die aantoonbaar minimaal één jaar ervaring heeft met het begeleiden van ondernemingen op het vlak van circulaire economie. Kiemt kan deze rol voor geïnteresseerden op zich nemen.

De subsidie voor een mkb-ondernemer in het circulair ketensamenwerkingsverband bedraagt 50% van de subsidiabele kosten van de ondernemer met een maximum van € 20.000.

Aanvragen kunnen van 1 april 2021 tot en met 30 september 2021 (12.00 uur) met behulp van een aanvraagformulier worden ingediend bij de Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO). Het beschikbare budget wordt verdeeld op volgorde van binnenkomst van de aanvragen.
